During 2022 Most of my work evolved around the forest industry.
My drive to explore the forest industry deride from a personal need to relate myself to a new environment as I left Stockholm for Nordigrå in Ångermaland. A region shaped by the forest industry, past and present.
This was followed by the immediate need to process the experience of witnessing lumber-harvest close to home for the first time. Sharing the pain with friends and neighbours, struggling to find words as I felt tears building up, hearing the rage and desperation in people's voices.
My emotional reaction forced me to deal with the dissonance between my values and relationship with the forest clashing with my consumption.
I continued my reasharh in Ångermalnd and Västernorrloand, visited forests in Västerbotten and Stockholm,
Leading up to the exhibition "Skogsbruk" (Forestry) last autumn, where I together with three artists from acrosIn the exhibition I worked with contrasting surfaces and functions to process and portray the pain and dissonance between my emotional reaction when the forest around my village was felled and my consumption of the forest.
